With what viewers are given to work with, though, there's still a lot about her that can be surmised that some might miss. For example, Tenten is a character who has a fairly unique combat style - specializing in ninja tools and weapons rather than only using them as an add-on - and although she's loved by many fans, she isn't given the on-screen time to shine that she deserves. It really isn't until the Fifth Hokage enters the scene that viewers truly get a taste of how powerful the women of the series can be. The 'main' kunoichi of the cast, Sakura, doesn't feel as if she has anything to offer in comparison to Naruto and Sasuke back in their genin days, and the others don't get enough screen time early on to contribute much. At least within the early days of Naruto, the series wasn't exactly known for showing its female characters all that much love in comparison to their male counterparts.
